Robert Dowling, Executive Director
Robert was a banker in New York and Chicago, with an MBA in finance, before he left the corporate world and moved to Carrboro with his wife Bethaney Dale in 1994 to work with nonprofits. He joined the board of Orange Community Housing Corporation in 1996 and became executive director in December 1997. He managed the organizational transition to a community land trust in 2000-2001. Robert spends much of his free time in the kitchen, cooking and eating.

Trish Cates joined has joined the Land Trust Staff as a bookkeeper on a part-time basis in September, 2007. Prior to joining the Land Trust, Trish worked as a business manager and an administrator for a nonprofit center in San Luis Obispo, California. Trish now resides in Mebane with her husband, Steve and their 2 dogs and 3 cats. She loves taking care of their granddaughter, restoring their historic home, managing their entertainment and music business, playing keyboards, cooking, and gardening.
Crystal Fisher, Sales and Marketing Manager
Crystal joined the Land Trust in March 2004 as a temporary part-time office manager and quickly found her niche working with homebuyers. She obtained her real estate sales license in September 2004 and became a licensed broker in February 2005. She and her daughter live in Carrboro.

Gricelle Font, Communications Administrator
Before joining The Land Trust, Gricelle worked with H.O.M.E. program's
C.H.D.O.S. (Community Housing Development Organizations. She is an Auburn
University Business Administration graduate. Her background includes banking
operations and marketing management. Gricelle issues tracking reports for
the organization, handles website design and layouts, and issues our

Lanny Pratt
Lanny Pratt came on board in August as construction manager with over forty years of experience in real estate,
property and construction management. He has worked with five major national and three major regional organizations.
Lanny is an avid soccer fan and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and with his local congregation in Durham.
Amy Singleton, Sales and Marketing Associate
A licensed real estate broker, Amy lives in Carrboro with her husband and son and bikes to work almost daily. Before joining the Land Trust part time in 2004, she was administrative assistant at Weaver Street Realty. She manages a co-ed recreational softball team, and plays catch.

Christine Westfall, Project Manager
Christine has been with the Land Trust since its formation in 2000. She oversees technical aspects of implementing the community land trust model, and she represents the southeast on the National Community Land Trust Network. A Durham resident, she plays fiddle with an Old Time music band and clogs.
